Bucket Automotive is horrible

Hello, my name is Mark Kluge and I used Bucket Automotive in Arlington Texas to work on my 2018 Toyota Prius C. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a body shop, and now almost a week after picking my car up I’m being harassed by the owner Chris Allahverdi daily.

I spoke to Chris on the phone and he said fixing my vehicle would be no issue, and it would be done by Saturday 5/18/2019. He seemed knowledgeable on the phone, and despite the bad reviews online I decided I’d give him a chance. Looking back I wish I would have spent more time researching him and his company before making that decision. I dropped the vehicle off on 05/13/2019. Chris wasn’t there and his brother Jonathan helped me. He also said the car would be done by 05/18/2019, and even said possibly sooner. He told me Chris wasn’t there and was out picking up parts. I didn’t think anything of his comment about Chris at the time, but Chris text me later that day stating he was in the booth painting. Weird that two people at the same business wouldn’t know where one another is.

On Friday 05/18/2019 I followed up with Chris and he said the vehicle would be done on 05/19/2019 still, and that he would call me soon as it was ready. At 5:00pm on 05/19/2019 I still hadn’t heard from Chris. His brother Jonathan called me that evening and let me know it would be ready Sunday or Monday. On Monday 05/20/2019 I received a text from Chris at 9:59am telling me my vehicle will be ready in 1 – 1.5 hours, and that I should be there around that time to pick it up. I waited till around 1:00pm, and called to confirm it was ready. Jonathan answered the phone and told me the vehicle hadn’t been touched yet, and would be ready around 3:00pm. They called me at 3:04pm and let me know the vehicle was ready to pickup. I arrived around 4:55pm and soon as I started inspecting the vehicle I saw nothing but bad news. I went to find Chris so we could discuss the work and figure out a resolution. Chris immediately got defensive and started putting blame on me. He said I scratched the paint below the headlight with my finger nail as we were looking at the work. I showed him how the fender he repaired was sitting on top of the bumper and had damaged the bumper. He claimed that was from the accident, I told him it wasn’t and I had pictures to prove it. The more time we spent looking at the vehicle the more things I saw wrong, and the more I knew Chris didn’t care about the quality of his work at all. After a few moments he lost his temper, he called me a faggot and told me to leave the property. I did not engage in any hostile interactions with Chris. I knew there was no getting the work fixed there, and if a business owner responds this way it’s not someone I want to do business with.

I drove my rental back to enterprise down the street and took an uber back to Bucket Automotive. Soon as I arrived I began taking pictures of the bad work, and a picture in front of his shop to prove it was there. You would think at this point that the nightmare is over, but it’s only getting started….

After leaving the shop is when Chris’s true colors really showed. He kept texting me being very unprofessional and rude. Telling me he would take me to court if I posted reviews about his business or slandered his name. Well I went home that evening and Chris has disabled the Bucket Automotive facebook page so I couldn’t review it. I did however leave a Google and Yelp review. After posting these I started to receive text messages from Chris bringing up my fiancé, and making personal attacks at me. A few moments later I started receiving texts from a different number also talking about my fiancé and personally attacking me. In four days I’ve received 7 calls from that number and they’ve been calling between the hours of 1 – 3am every night. After the 2nd night of the harassing phone calls I filed a police report because my fiancé didn’t feel safe with what was going on.

On 05/23/2019 Chris enabled the Bucket Automotive and I was able to post a review sharing my experience. He quickly disable the facebook page again after I posted my review, and he once again began harassing me. He called me at 11:41pm on 05/23/2019 and told me it’s in my best interests to stop harassing him online. At 1:12am I got a call from the other number again also.

Chris has replied to my yelp review claiming that it’s falsified information, and that the issues are from me going through a car wash. My car never left the Bucket Automotive property before I showed Chris any of these issues. I have screenshots of phone conversations, text messages, uber records, rental drop off receipt and other items that can confirm the timeline. He is trying to put a spin like he wanted to help. When I was there discussing the issues in person he had no interest in helping, and only kept bringing up that the dent looked better, and that he had installed a new trim piece. He didn’t want to discuss the horrible prep work, over spray, damaged bumper, bad paint work, bad emblem installation, etc.

After leaving that day I began researching Bucket Automotive and Chris Allahverdi. It seems I’m not the only one who has dealt with these issues. There are multiple google reviews of bad quality work, and Chris being unprofessional.

My hopes of this article is that when someone is researching Bucket Automotive Arlington Texas, or Chris Allahverdi that they will see this, and it will help them avoid the issues that I have dealt with.

During my research I found an article on multiple news sites about Chris Allahverdi and his brother Jonathan Allahverdi assaulting at postal worker at Bucket Automotive in Arlington, Texas. https://dfw.cbslocal.com/2016/05/13/postal-worker-attacked-in-arlington/ . After seeing this we really started to fear for our safety.
